About Activate
Founded by Vivienne Emmott in 2005, Activate Arts has expanded its delivery area to cover Merseyside, Lancashire and Cheshire. During this time, Activate Arts has delivered performing arts courses using Rap, Music, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Visual arts, Theatre in Education, Events Management and related activities, giving learners unprecedented access to creative industry practices.

Clients
Our primary work which is funded and free of charge to our service users is with:

• Young people who are NEET
• Young people who are at risk
• People from deprived areas
• Young people with disabilities
• Unemployed adult learners

Project History
To date we have delivered courses to over 300 individuals, ranging from specialist vocal workshops for aspiring singers, to key-life projects and employability skills programmes for young people, to music based literacy courses and Theatre in Education projects for disadvantaged primary school children.
