Activate Futures Knowsley

This personalised study programme is for 19-24 year olds with learning difficulties and disabilities and focuses on building the skills and experience needed to pursue an active life in the local community. Learners take part in volunteering, work experience and options such as travel training to further develop their independence and prepare them for the future.

Where: The Bracknell Centre, Bracknell Avenue, Southdene, Kirkby, L32 9PW

When: 3 days per week during term time from (8:55am-3:10pm).

Qualifications: We offer an accredited employability qualification which includes various vocational units. Maths and English qualifications will also be offered on an individual basis.

Length of course: Our aim is to help you move on within a two year period if appropriate.

What’s next: When you finish at Activate our Employability Co-ordinator will help you decide what you want to do next. Options may include, but are not limited to:

  • Paid work
  • A college course
  • Voluntary work
  • Referral to another organisation with suitable programme(s)
