Smart start is an accredited, learner-led course, aimed at providing unemployed people aged 16+ with the skills to reintegrate back into education, employment or training. Using the skills and techniques of the creative arts industry, and our qualified performing arts practitioners, the students will work on team building exercises to build confidence, improvisational skills for quick thinking, verbal and non- verbal communication skills, body language and image and interview skills.
These essential skills enable learners to; develop self confidence, improved communication and presentation skills and employability skills. Drawing on the skills of our experts the students will be armed with the necessary tools for securing employment. Throughout the course a video diary will be made to chart the progress and personal development of the students. This course will result in a NOCN award.
