Vivienne Emmott - Managing Director

Vivienne Emmott is Managing Director of Activate Arts. After gaining a 2:1 BA Hons degree in Drama from Lancaster University, Viv worked for a touring theatre company before founding the company in 2005. Viv has absolute commitment to Activate and (apart from a fortnight to get married earlier in the year) has not spent time away from the office. Her parents are foster carers and it is through this that she decided she would like to commit to improving the quality of life for young people and adults who are disadvantaged in today’s society.

As managing director, Viv is responsible for the running of the charity as a whole. It is thanks to Viv that the company runs and that so many young people can have life changing experiences with Activate. Viv is dedicated to professional development and has worked hard to achieve a number of qualifications including: CIPD, Certificate in Training Practice, Internal Verifier Award and is now working towards doing her MBA. It is through this that Viv is in a position to keep the Activate family ticking by nicely!
